Melt Hot Yoga (Wilkes-Barre, PA)
This is a true hot yoga studio. Complete with block props, a full-mirrored front and side room, and ridiculous heat. This is a one-room studio, which allows you to practice in silence without the distraction of the music in the class next door. Although, a majority of the instructors have traditional music accompanying their practice. They are the perfect all around studio with hot vinyasa, bikram, yin yang flow, and even an “inappropriate yoga” where they jam to some hip-hop tunes.
Instructors that I would strongly recommend are Rachel Buckman and Jennifer Ciarimboli. Rachel is an amazing, bubbly, kind instructor who also does a hot pilates class. I know this breaks my rules of including non-yoga fitness classes, but any class of Rachel’s is worth it. Her passion for yoga oozes out during her teachings. You can tell she loves what she does. If you are looking for a fun, unique yoga class, Rachel is your girl. Jennifer is more of a traditional teacher who focuses on her students. She does a great job floating around the room providing modifications and assisting with the deepening into poses. You can tell her knowledge of yoga is extensive as she uses a lot of Sanskrit and sometimes adds hints of history to classes. If you’re looking for a traditional yoga teacher, Jenny is for you.
Melt has a great intro package of $30 for 30 days of yoga. This gives you plenty of time to check out all the different classes and fin. Follow the link to get more info on Melt.
