Yogaspace (Toronto, ON)
Yogaspace is one of Toronto’s oldest and most established yoga studios right on the Ossington strip. Amazing organic food shops and stores also surround the studio if you’re looking for a day out filled with lunch and yoga. (The Grow Op being one of my personal favourites). This is easily my favourite studio in Toronto.
Yogaspace is a traditional studio rich with props, no mirrors, and a wide variety of classes. Classes include: vinyasa, prenatal, restorative, functional strength, and even mysore/self practice classes. Each teacher is so different that you will never be bored here. Complete with two studios and a wellness spa, you truly get it all here. Take a class and then follow it with an osteopath or massage therapy appointment, all in the same place.
Teachers I would strongly recommend are Kathryn Beet (owner) and Yosh Maeda. Kathryn’s classes are best described as tough but safe. Kathryn’s sequences are accessible to all body types but require a significant amount of work. She accompanies her practice with a killer play list. She truly has mastered the art of matching flow with music. Yosh’s classes are more a mindful practice. His descriptive cues sound like you could be listening to a poem reading. Often quoting The Bhagavad Gita, Yosh’s chants give you the immediate connection from body to mind. He will hold space for you to find stillness every time.
Yogaspace has an intro package of $49 for 30 days of yoga. Follow the link here to get all the Yogaspace details to make your Toronto yoga experience an unforgettable one.
